Worship and Spiritual Life Committee
With the Pastor, this committee plans and provides for the spiritual development of each member of the parish through liturgical celebrations, significant prayer experiences, spiritual growth programs, ecumenical activities and other activities. Its membership includes the Pastor, Deacon(s), Staff Members, Chairperson(s) who represent the Committee as member(s) of the Parish Council and persons with talents, interests and knowledge of this committees areas of responsibility. Eucharistic Ministers (Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist)
These ministers assist in distributing Communion at Mass and taking the Eucharist to the sick and homebound. For more information, please contact:

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers)

Wedding Guild
The names of couples planning to be married at Our Lady of the Lake are forwarded to the Wedding Coordinator(s) During meeting(s) prior to the wedding, they review the resources available to the couple and the policies of the Parish concerning weddings. Altar Linens Committee

Gather the Children

Ministers share a special Liturgy of the Word and help bring scripture to life for children in Grades 1 through 4 during the Masses on Sundays. For more information, please contact:

Eucharistic Adoration
Jesus asks in the gospel, "Will you not keep watch with me for one hour?" (Matthew 26:40) All parishioners are encouraged to include Eucharistic Adoration in their prayer life. You can sign-up to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament for one hour each week. Time slots are available five and a half days a week around the clock. Hours when adorers are especially needed are posted in the Narthex along with signup forms. For more information, please contact:

Living Waters Prayer Group
He who believes in Me from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. John 7: 37-38. Inspired by scripture, this weekly prayer group helps participants to develop a greater knowledge and experience of the love of God. This group is part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Vocation Cup

This committee, which is composed of a Parish Council member and other volunteers, undertakes activities to raise consciousness among parishioners about the Church's social needs and issues in the parish and larger community. Room in the Inn
This ministry provides overnight shelter and meals to Nashville's homeless men who are transported to OLOL on Sunday evenings from November through March. You can serve as an innkeeper, weekend team-member, preparer of food or linen launderer. For more information, please contact:

Aid for St. Bertin in Haiti
You can help make a difference in the lives of our poor brothers and sisters at St. Bertin in Haiti. Sunshine Saturdays

Welcoming Committee
Comprised of one Parish Council member and other volunteers, this committee greets newcomers to the parish and makes them feel welcome and part of the parish community and to help them find groups where they can form friendships and fulfill their spiritual needs. Knights of Columbus
Charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism are the cornerstones of this organization. K of C is a Catholic social, service and fraternal organization with membership open to men 18 years or older. Ladies Friendship Circle
The Ladies Friendship Circle, a group of senior women of the parish, offers its members a chance to get to know each other, to share friendship, encourage faith and good works and to address social action needs. The members participate in activities that offer recreation, education, crafts, trips & other fun things to do. They also have a bake sale once a year to raise money for the church. Sports Committee
This committee provides recreational activities for adults of all ages from our parish community. The primary goal is to have fun by relaxing together. Sports programs include softball and bowling. Children's Education Ministries
These ministries, which rely on many willing volunteers, serve over 500 students.
    Religious Education for Children

    Catechists share their faith and their time by leading weekly classes for children in preschool to 8th grade. At least two catechists are needed for each class. Preschool classes meet during the 8:30am & 11am Sunday Masses. Classes for 1st to 5th grades meet on Sunday at 8:20am and 9:40am. 6th - 8th Grade meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:15pm. Adult Faith Formation
Opportunities are available for adults to grow in understanding of their Catholic faith and to share with others.

    RCIA
    The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults and adolescents, who wish to become members of the Roman Catholic Church, learn and prepare for full reception into the Church at the Easter Vigil Liturgy. Those wishing to join the Church learn about Catholic beliefs and practices while experiencing the faith community. The core team consists of over 40 volunteers, who serve as lecturers, refreshment servers, and Share the Word leaders. Also, sponsors are needed for each RCIA participant to support them through this 26-week program. For more information, please contact:

    Adult Education
    A variety of classes is offered to educate adult parishioners on matters of spirituality and religion. Classes are taught by qualified members of the Adult Education Committee and are held on Sunday mornings and Monday evenings, in addition to some weekend retreats.     Men's Bible Study
    The men meet every Saturday morning from 7:00 till 8:00 AM downstairs in the parish social hall. Join at any time. All men are welcome.

    Beth Moore Bible Study

High School Youth
Meetings are directed by both youth and adult volunteers. Youth are encouraged to grow closer to Christ through youth masses, group and individual prayer, games, outdoor adventures, retreats, and social outreach activities. Parents are encouraged to participate. Our Lady of the Lake parish embraces our youth by inviting them into parish-wide and community activities and ministries. For more information, please contact:

Middle School Youth
Meetings are directed by adult volunteers. Youth are encouraged to be active members of their faith community through prayer, games, retreats, and social outreach activities. Parish Council
The parish council is a consultative group which assists the pastor in spiritual leadership and pastoral planning for the common good of the Church. Its purpose is to discern the mission of the parish, plan ways to carry out the mission and to involve parishioners in fulfilling that mission. The council is comprised of the pastor, ten elected parishioners and ex-officio (non-voting) members. All meetings are held on the second Monday of the month and are open to the parish. Administration & Stewardship Committee
    Administration
    Responsibilities include coordination of present and future parish organizations, fund-raising programs, stewardship programs, long-range planning and assisting the pastor in parish business. For more information, please contact:

Building Maintenance Committee
This committee, comprised of a Parish Council member and other volunteers, provides repairs and improvements to the buildings of the parish. For more information, please contact:

Communication Committee
Members of the Parish Council work with other volunteers to promote the parish in a positive way and to keep the parish community informed about activities and events through a variety of vehicles, including the parish newsletter and web site. Handyman Committee
This Ministry seeks to help OLOL parishioners with minor maintenance tasks such as HVAC filters replacement, paint touch up, caulking and battery replacement in smoke alarms.
