Parish Evangelization Committee

These volunteers work to foster the renewal of parish life, participation in evangelization ministry, outreach to those alienated and unchurched, encouraging involvement in activities. For more information, please contact Tim Lynch tdlynch@bellsouth.net

Legion of Mary

Serving Mary is a very special way to grow closer to her Son. Mary’s Legion is a sign of her maternal love for the world and a means of enlisting her children in the evangelizing work of the Church. You can grow through prayer and spiritual works of mercy by joining a group of parishioners who are devoted to the Blessed Mother. Members visit the sick, take Communion to the homebound, and bless homes.

The Legion of Mary Notre Dame Du Lac brings communion to anyone who is not able to attend Mass due to illness or confinement. They meet on Wednesday morning. If you are interested in his group or need the Eucharist to be delivered. For more information, please contact Joanne Huss at 615-859-4202.

Rosary Walk

The Rosary Walk is a spiritual morning of fellowship and reflection. It is held twice per year; May and October and includes a speaker and presentation on devotion to Mary. The Rosary is then prayed while walking the Prayer Path located on the parish grounds. This special event is held on a Saturday morning beginning at 8:30 AM. All are welcome and the weather is never a factor. For more information, please contact Michelle Wisner at 615-826-9575.

Seven Sisters Apostolate

The Seven Sisters Apostolate is a call to strengthen the Church by ensuring that a Holy Hour is prayed each day of the week for the sole intention of a specific priest or bishop—a “holy wasting” (Mt. 26:10) or lavishing of prayer for his deeper conformity to Christ. The members currently pray for each priest at Our Lady of the Lake, Bishop Spalding and former OLOL priest, Father Luckas.

If you would like to be involved as member or a substitute, please contact Rosemary Geiger at myrose@att.net or 760-505-6625.

Cursillo

Cursillo is an international movement of dynamic spiritual growth within the church. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Catholics. Cursillo (pronounced cur-see-o) is a 3-day weekend retreat experience for people wanting to develop their spiritual life, strengthen their relationship with God, and live better Christian lives every day.

For more information about Cursillo in our parish, contact Helen Rupert at hrupert1@live.com or call 615-712-4292.
